2. General Information

The protection of your personal data is of particular importance to the management of FIBTEX GmbH. This website can generally be used without providing any personal data. Where personal data is collected on our pages, this is always done on a voluntary basis where possible and in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable German data protection law.

3. Data Collected When Visiting This Website

When you visit this website, our web server temporarily records the following data for technical and security purposes: IP address of the requesting device, date and time of the request, name and URL of the requested file, the website from which the request originates, the operating system and browser used. This data is processed on the basis of Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO (legitimate interest) and is deleted after 7 days at the latest.

4. Hosting

This website is hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH (Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany) on servers located in Nuremberg, Germany. When you access the site, your IP address, request metadata and standard server log data are processed by the hosting provider for the sole purpose of delivering the site and ensuring its security and stability. Server log data is retained for a maximum of 14 days and then automatically deleted. Legal basis: Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO (legitimate interest). All processing takes place exclusively within the European Union; no data is transferred to third countries. A data processing agreement (DPA) pursuant to Art. 28 DSGVO is in place with the hosting provider.

5. Contact Form & Email Enquiries

When you contact us via our contact form, the data you provide (email address, subject, message content, and optionally name, company, phone number, country, and material) is processed for the sole purpose of handling your enquiry and any follow-up questions. Providing the fields marked as required (email, subject, message) is voluntary, but without them we cannot process your enquiry; all other fields are optional. Legal basis: Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. a DSGVO (your consent, given by ticking the consent checkbox on the form) in combination with Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO (pre-contractual measures) and Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO (legitimate interest in responding to enquiries). You may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future by sending an informal notice to info@fibtex.de; the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal remains unaffected. Contact form submissions are automatically deleted from the form database after 31 days. Any enquiry that leads to further correspondence by email is additionally stored in our regular mailbox and deleted as soon as it has been fully processed and no legal retention obligation applies.

6. Form Backend (PocketBase, self-hosted)

Contact form submissions are transmitted over an encrypted HTTPS connection to our own PocketBase instance running at forms.fibtex.de and stored there as a record in the "contact_submissions" collection. Data stored per submission: the form fields you filled in and a timestamp. The PocketBase instance is operated by FIBTEX GmbH on infrastructure located in Germany (Hetzner Online GmbH, Nuremberg); no third party controls the database and no data is transferred to third countries. Records are automatically deleted after 31 days. Legal basis: Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. a and lit. b/f DSGVO as described in section 5. A simple hidden "honeypot" field is used to filter automated spam submissions; it is not stored or transmitted.

7. Email Delivery (Mailbox.org)

New contact form submissions and replies to enquiries you send us by email are delivered through the email service of mailbox.org, operated by Heinlein Support GmbH, Schwedter Str. 8/9a, 10119 Berlin, Germany. In this context the provider processes standard email metadata (sender, recipient, timestamps, IP data) and the content of the email itself for the sole purpose of secure delivery and storage. All processing takes place on servers located in Germany; no data is transferred to third countries. Legal basis: Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO (communication regarding your enquiry) and Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO (legitimate interest in reliable business email). A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 DSGVO has been concluded with the provider.

8. Job Applications

If you send us an unsolicited application by email to bewerbung@fibtex.de (or application@fibtex.de), the personal data contained therein (name, contact details, CV, and other application documents) will be processed exclusively for the purpose of the application process. Legal basis: Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO in conjunction with § 26 BDSG. If your application is unsuccessful, your data will be deleted within 6 months of the rejection decision unless you have consented to longer retention.

9. External Links (join.com, Google Maps)

Our Careers page contains an outbound link labelled career.fibtex.de, which is a plain HTTP redirect operated by us that forwards you to our company profile on join.com, operated by JOIN Solutions AG, Rehalp 132, 8032 Zurich, Switzerland. Our contact page also contains a plain outbound link to Google Maps ("Open in Maps") pointing to maps.google.com. No content, cookies, tracking pixels, iframes, or scripts from join.com or Google are loaded on this website; personal data is only transmitted once you actively click one of these links and reach the third-party site. From that point on, the privacy policy of the respective provider applies. This is strictly necessary for the site to remember your language preference and does not require consent under § 25 Abs. 2 TTDSG.

11. SSL/TLS Encryption

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, this website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the "https://" prefix in your browser's address bar and the lock icon. When SSL/TLS encryption is active, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

12. No Automated Decision-Making

We do not use automated decision-making, including profiling, within the meaning of Art. 22 DSGVO.

13. Data Protection Officer
